The Fast and the Furious series continues with last week’s release of the seventh installment, Furious 7. This film was already delayed a year due to the untimely death of actor Paul Walker. The film went through re-writes and re-shoots after Walker’s death, even using his brother as a stand-in. Since its release on April 3, the movie has already grossed over $143 million from its opening weekend at the box office.

The Ducks have won four straight national championships and are the favorite to win their fifth straight this year. On Monday, the Ducks will host Azusa Pacific and Fairmont State at 6:30pm

Netflix released the third season of House of Cards last week to much anticipation. Kevin Spacey is back as Frank Underwood, this time as the President of the United States. As season 2 ended, many questions were left unanswered building to the release of season 3. Fans of the show can expect a change in tone and tempo.

On Feb. 20, the Chinese Student Scholar Association of the University of Oregon held the 30th anniversary of China Night. The event was held at the EMU ballroom and was open to the public. The event was sold out and had over 450 attendees.

Take a behind the scenes look at a Pocket Playhouse production by the students at the University of Oregon. This play called “Rolling For Charisma” is written and directed by U of O student David S. Gallagher. The Pocket Playhouse puts on multiple plays a term displaying original works from the theater department and student body.

The University of Oregon student recreation center was recently renovated at a cost of $50 million. The total cost of the renovation is 100 percent paid for by student fees. Student fees at the university are the highest in school history at $574 per term.
