The David Horowitz Freedom Center recently released the “Top Ten America-Hating Professors” list, and UH professor Nicholas De Genova took the top spot.
The America Hating Professors website, run by the Freedom Center, features a general statement about the named institutions and professors regarding how they are lecturing against what they call the concepts of our nation.
Nicholas De Genova, comparative cultural studies department chair, was featured as the number one America-hating professor on the Freedom Center’s list. There was an in-detail report as well as a YouTube video discussing his reasoning.
“For his ardent desire to see the American military and American power go down in flames, De Genova belongs atop the list of the Top Ten America-Hating Professors,” claimed the report.
The Freedom Center’s report included a list of statements made by De Genova that they claimed proves his hate toward America. It said that De Genova has made antisemetic claims on multiple occasions and wanted the U.S. to be defeated on the world stage.
The Freedom Center’s report mentioned that De Genova speaks on President Donald Trump’s slogan saying “‘Make America Great Again’— becomes inseparable from a retreat into internecine racial tribalism: in short, white nationalism. And white nationalism, invigorated by an ethos of civil war, spells fascism.”
The report also touched on De Genova’s works about policing in relation to white supremacy. It quoted De Genova in an article he wrote saying “policing in the United States is inextricable from the perpetration and perpetuation of racism.”
The report continued to list articles written and statements made by De Genova, claiming that he is an America-hating academic.
“The existence of these professors reflects not only on these individuals, but on the academic institutions that support them,” said Freedom Center founder David Horowitz in a statement.
“The presence of an America-hating front on our nation’s college campuses is an ominous development and a clear threat to America’s future.”
