Don’t miss it — National Food Truck Day is coming this Friday, June 28, and food truck roundups are going to appear all across the valley as participating trucks offer specials to hungry guests. Do you enjoy good cooking hot from the loving pots and pans of small business owners? If so, take notes. Many local food trucks are going to offer celebratory deals. While students may eat at our campus food trucks often, there are many more trucks in Utah — over 300 to be exact.
The Food Truck Roundups
The Gateway

Eat your fare, visit some shops and have a blast — on your own or with an entourage. Yoshi’s Enso Grill, Rickle’s and Havana Eats will be there.
Petersen’s Family Farm
11800 South 4000 West, Riverton | 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Petersen’s knows how to throw a good roundup. Play with baby goats, visit the Farmer’s Market and chow down on some hit eats from six trucks. Check out Smokin Roadside Grill, Comfort Bowl, Umani Pizza Truck, DaKine Grindz, Clark’s Malasadas and Fanci Freez.
Davis County Library
725 S Main Street, Bountiful | 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Browse through books and get your bites. Nine trucks will visit Bountiful — The Lost Bread, Yoshi’s Enso Grill, The Rollin Mug, Rickle’s, Made in Brazil, Massimo’s Pizza, MISOYUM, Capt. Len’s BBQ and Black’s Sliders.

Bring a Frisbee and some lawn chairs! Enjoy dishes from Jurassic Street Tacos, Amkha Misky Peruvian Specialties, Fatty Tuna Food, Kona Ice, Cups and Cakes, Mama Lau and Fiore Pizza.

Take the time to drive out to Stansbury Park to enjoy the flavors of Cluck Truck, Cool Treats, Taco Man, Smokin Star BBQ, Balabe Senegalese Cuisine, Yuchi Crispy Crepes and Marquesas Corndogs.

Two locations, twice the fun. In Salt Lake, you’ll find Fry Me to the Moon SLC (they give one free donut to all customers, all year long), Wasatch Deli Truck, Pizza Cone Zone, Blake’s Gourmet, Smoke a Billy BBQ, MISOYUM and Papito Moes Puerto Rican Grub.
In Millcreek, Melty Way Mobile, CupBop, Blake’s Gourmet, Havana Eats and Fiore Pizza will serve up tastiness.
National Food Truck Day Deals
Smoke a Billy will be at the SLC location of the Venture Out! food truck roundup on National Food Truck Day, giving away one free drink to every customer who stops by to try their slow-cooked meats.
Describing their sandwiches as the “melted cheese experience,” Raclette will give away a free drink and bag of chips with every purchase. They’ll park outside the Downtown SLC Farmers Market at Pioneer Park (300 S) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Black’s Sliders serves delicious, ethically raised and hormone free beef, vegetarian options and gluten-free meals. You’ll find them selling discounted french fries at the food truck roundup at Davis County Library.
Yuchi, connoisseurs of crepes and “bubble waffles,” will give away ten free drinks to the first ten customers who come to their truck at Porter Way Park in Stansbury.
Wish your server at Happy Camper Deli a Happy National Food Truck Day, and the truck will give you your choice of a free drink, a free bag of chips or a free order of fries. They’ll park outside of the Salt Lake City Costco (1818 S 300 W) from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
In Stansbury Park, the “clucking delicious” Cluck Truck will give away free drinks, along with free fries to the first twenty customers to order one of their fried chicken wraps.
“Heaven Sent. Wicked Good.” Get one extra churro for free with an order of churros inside of Macey’s grocery in Draper (1212 Draper Parkway) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Yoshi’s will visit the food truck roundups at The Gateway and the Davis County Library, giving free Japanese grill rice bowls to their first ten customers for each roundup. They’re also oggering free drinks with purchases all day long.
While these deals are in celebration of the big day, food trucks are available all year long! The website (and group) Food Truck League allows Utahns to track down good grub, upcoming events and where individual trucks are located.
