Man found dead at Durant and Fulton

A man was found dead in Berkeley at the corner of Durant Avenue and Fulton Street by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, according to an email from Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White.
Officers were called at around 9:30 a.m. for a person passed out in the bushes. The 61-year-old man was seen lying in the bushes for the past several days, according to White. When officers arrived, they discovered the man was deceased. According to White, the man’s death does not appear to be suspicious at this point.
