Officers from the Berkeley Police Department responded to reports of sexual assault at a youth shelter on the 1700 block of University Avenue on Monday, according to an email from BPD spokesperson Officer Byron White.

The victim, a woman staying in the shelter, was assaulted by another person staying at the shelter, according to White. Officers spoke with the victim, and according to White, “officers learned that the suspect had grabbed and/or touched the victim in a sexual manner on three separate occasions.”

Officers arrested Antonio Missail on suspicion of sexual battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment, according to White.
