Four masked suspects entered Sack’s Coffee House at 2701 College Ave. at 9:20 p.m. Monday and robbed two UC Berkeley students of their laptops, according to an email from Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White.

According to the email, one of the students, a 21-year-old woman, was injured during the incident. The suspect ran to his waiting getaway vehicle parked in front of the coffee shop after wrestling her laptop away. The suspects were last seen driving east on Derby Street in a maroon or burgundy sedan.

Medical personnel treated the woman for minor injuries at the scene, and the woman was able to recover her laptop after the suspect dropped it during the encounter. The other student, a 19-year-old man, was not injured during the robbery, according to the email.

The email described the suspects as four Black males wearing ski masks between the ages of 18 and 29.
