After missing the previous three games with a broken nose and concussion, Cal men’s basketball’s freshman center Connor Vanover has been cleared to play in the team’s conference opener against USC.

Vanover’s last appearance came against Cal Poly on Dec. 15, when he posted a career-high seven points along with two rebounds and a block in 11 minutes before exiting the game after colliding with Junior Ballard.

In Vanover’s absence, sophomore Grant Anticevich has started the previous three ballgames, averaging 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in those contests.
