Cal men’s basketball freshman center Connor Vanover will be out tonight against Seattle, missing a third consecutive game with a broken nose and concussion. He remains in concussion protocol.

The freshman was held out of Cal’s 95-73 loss against Fresno State and the team’s 88-80 win over San Jose State.

Vanover sustained the broken nose and concussion against Cal Poly when he collided with the Mustangs’ Junior Ballard two weeks ago. Before exiting, Vanover posted a career-high seven points along with two rebounds and a block in 11 minutes.

In nine games this season, the big man is averaging 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game and shooting 55.6 percent from the field.

In Vanover’s absence, sophomore Grant Anticevich started against the Bulldogs and Spartans. Anticevich averaged 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 21.0 minutes in those two games.
