Cal redshirt junior receiver Kanawai Noa is back. Despite not drawing the initial start in the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl, the Hawaii native returned to action for the first time on Cal’s first drive after missing five consecutive contests with an undisclosed injury.

On his first play on the field, Noa received a strike from quarterback Chase Garbers, converting a big first down on the Bears’ opening drive. The Bears would ultimately punt after TCU deferred to the second half.

Prior to the injury, Noa had compiled 28 receptions, 326 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his redshirt junior campaign.
