Mayday Parade is an American pop-punk and pop-rock band that began in Tallahassee, Florida in 2005 following the merger of two local Tallahassee bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. The band has made its name in heartbreak, with both upbeat and slow songs that touch on the saddest experiences life has to offer, such as death, love and loss.

Their debut EP “Tales Told by Dead Friends” was released in 2006 and sold over 50,000 copies. In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album “A Lesson in Romantics” which features upbeat songs about romance and all the sadness it brings. Their second studio album “Anywhere but Here” was released in Oct. 2009 and their third album, which was self-titled, was released in Oct. 2011. Their fourth album, “Monsters in the Closet” was released in Oct. 2013, and their fifth album, “Black Lines” was released in Oct. 2015. Their most recent album, the one they’re currently touring for, is titled “Sunnyland” and, breaking their October album release streak, came out on July 15, 2018. Each album has a different sound, some heavier and some softer than others, but they all give vulnerable emotional complexity that has given Mayday Parade their fame. “Sunnyland” is a mix of heavy, upbeat and soft songs that all have different themes. According to the previous set lists for the “Sunnyland” tour, this tour will feature their hits from that album as well as the hits from previous albums, calling all Mayday Parade fans, new and old.
