The Eugene Police Department is warning residents to avoid the area of 14th and 15th avenues and High and Mill streets while officers search for “a dangerous suspect,” according to a UO Alert text message sent Tuesday to UO students at 5:52 p.m.
EPD does not have a publicly released description of the suspect, said an EPD officer who answered the department’s after-hours media line. She did not know whether or not the suspect was carrying a weapon.
Eugene police request that residents to avoid the area and to stay inside.
