UCPD said in its alert that south campus, particularly Upper Sproul Plaza, will likely be the most impacted campus area Sept. 24. The city of Berkeley also issued a list of banned items Friday, ahead of the formerly planned Free Speech Week.

“The campus continues to plan for the safety of faculty, students, staff, and visitors and is working to minimize disruption to the occupants of nearby buildings and to those who pass through South campus,” UCPD said in its alert. “If you are at a demonstration and see violence, separate yourself. If you can do safely, report it to police.”
