Jillian Alleyne drafted by Phoenix, Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey exploring NBA options

— Oregon women’s basketball product Jillian Alleyne was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury 20th overall in the WNBA Draft on Thursday night. With the selection, she became the highest-drafted Duck in history.

— Oregon men’s basketball’s Chris Boucher and Jordan Bell will not declare for the NBA Draft this year, Duck coach Dana Altman said on Thursday. Tyler Dorsey and Dillon Brooks are still exploring their options for next year.

— The Oregon beach volleyball team will complete its regular season on Saturday against Washington in Seattle. The Ducks have undergone a mindset change this year with the sport becoming the latest recognized by the NCAA.

— Three Oregon softball players heard their names called in the National Pro Fastpitch draft on Thursday. Geri Ann Gasco went 2oth overall to the Akron Racers. Both Cheridan Hawkins and Alyssa Gillespie were selected by the Dallas Charge. Hawkins went 29th overall and Gillespie went 38th overall.

— Driven by a premature exit from their 2013 season, the Oregon club women’s water polo team has a more focused approach this season. The Ducks head to Pullman, Washington for the Northwest Division Championships on Saturday.

— Oregon’s Mitch Modin leads the decathlon field through five events at the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field. Modin posted a 3,916-point performance and Oregon’s Joe Delgado sits in second with 3,842 points.

— Oregon men’s golf student-athlete Aaron Wise was named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2016 Ben Hogan Award on Wednesday. That award is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate golfer.
