Rice Noodle Rolls: The most popular Chinese breakfast in southern China

Rice noodle roll is my favorite Cantonese dish with a history of 70 years from southern China. When I was still in elementary school, I always saw my classmates eating rice noodle rolls in the morning on the way to school. Rice noodle roll is very popular and tasty, and that’s the reason why everyone loves it.

Rice noodle roll is a thin roll made from a wide strip of rice noodles. It is always filled with eggs, shrimp, pork, beef, vegetables or other ingredients, with soy sauce poured over it. It is a kind of fast street food in China and it is mostly served at breakfast. In the morning, you can see stalls selling rice noodle rolls literally everywhere. Since it can be served very quickly with a low price, it has become the most popular breakfast among students and office workers in southern China.
