U selects new police chief

A new Chief of Police will run the University of Minnesota’s police department, the school announced in a press release Tuesday.

Matthew Clark has been a member of the Minneapolis Police Department since 1993, where he has served as the department’s Assistant Chief of Police since 2012.

“Matt brings more than two decades in law enforcement, comprehensive leadership experience, and a unique perspective of the University of Minnesota,” said Vice President for University Services Pamela Wheelock in the press release.
