Republican gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson made a last-minute election stop at the University of Minnesota on Thursday.
Johnson spent an hour with about 40 students and faculty members at the Humphrey School of
Public Affairs’ Humphrey Forum, where he promoted three platform efforts — job creation, evaluating government’s role and K-12 education reform — and a willingness to compromise across party lines.
Johnson, who serves as a Hennepin County commissioner, is running against Democrat and incumbent Gov. Mark Dayton.
