Dave Petrone is a UO alum who has always stayed financially engaged with the school even after his graduation in 1968. In 2001, the Petrones donated $1 million in 2001 to the School of Journalism and Communication, another $2.5 million in 2004, and most recently $1 million donation to the Women in Flight Program this February.

He also had experienced being apart of the UO Board of Trustees, the investment committee, the Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Council and the Lundquist College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council. In 1999, Petrone received the UO Presidential Medal.
