After recently being denied admittance into Hutchinson Community College, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman has reported that former Oregon men’s basketball player Brandon Austin is headed to Northwest Florida State College.
Former Providence and Oregon forward Brandon Austin has been accepted to Northwest Florida, the school told ESPN.

While attending Providence, Austin was involved in an alleged sexual assault along with his freshman teammate at the time, Rodney Bullock. Both were suspended from playing games back in November, but they were not charged by a Rhode Island grand jury.
After transferring to Oregon this past January following the incident, Austin was then involved with another alleged sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of March 9, 2014. The news broke months afterwards on May 5, 2014.
Austin was later dismissed from the team in April but was not charged.
The Emerald has reached out to Austin’s lawyer Laura Fine Moro as well as Northwest Florida Athletic Director Ramsey Ross, Athletic Program Assistant Drew Bowman, head coach Steve DeMeo and assistant coach Rory Kuhn, but has yet to receive further confirmation.
