A non-fatal hit-and-run occurred on Tank Farm Road near the Marigold Shopping Center on Wednesday morning, according to a San Luis Obispo Police Department (SLOPD) press release. SLOPD was dispatched to the scene at 11:15 a.m.

The collision was between a car and a bicyclist. The driver of the car fled the scene in an unknown direction after the collision occurred. SLOPD recovered the car thought to have hit the bicyclist and is currently investigating it for evidence.

Because of a lack of witnesses, it is unknown how the collision occurred.

The bicyclist, 68-year-old Ernie Brink, sustained moderate injuries. He was transported and admitted into Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
