Sandusky asks judge to allow him to have contact with his 11 minor grandchildren

Jerry Sandusky and his attorney are attempting to change his bail conditions changed so Sandusky can contact his grandchildren, according to court documents.Former assistant coach Sandusky will appear in court Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. to pursue this request after his lawyer Joe Amendola filed a motion Thursday in Centre County Court.

Sandusky is currently on house arrest after being charged with 52 counts of child sexual abuse. One of the conditions of Sandusky’s bail is that he is not allowed to have any contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Sandusky’s children said they are sad they have not been able to visit their parents since Sandusky was arraigned for the first time on Nov. 5, according to court documents. His children are requesting permission to visit Sandusky with their children and permission for Sandusky to communicate with his 11 minor grandchildren through mail, email and other electronic communication, according to court documents.

Amendola is asking for Sandusky to be allowed to leave his house with his defense team in order to assist in his case, with prior approval of the probation department, according to court documents.
