Les Miles will remain football coach at LSU, the school announced Tuesday morning.

“I am pleased to announce that Les Miles will remain the head coach at LSU,” LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva said in a news release. “Les has led this program to many great successes on the field and his players represent LSU well off the field. We look forward to many great years of LSU football under his leadership.”

Speculation ran rampant that Miles would take the vacant job at Michigan, his alma mater. Miles instead chose to stay at LSU after reportedly meeting with both Michigan and LSU officials late Monday.
