Gallon and Warren drafted in second round of NBA Draft

Former Sooners Keith “Tiny” Gallon and Willie Warren were both selected in the second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Gallon, a power forward who entered the draft after allegations of accepting money from a financial adviser, was taken with the 47th pick by the Milwaukee Bucks.

As a freshman, Gallon averaged 10.3 points and 7.9 rebounds in 30 games, leading the team in rebounds as the Sooners finished the year with a 13-18 record.

Warren will join former teammate Blake Griffin in California as the Los Angeles Clippers selected the shooting guard with the 54th pick.

Plagued with injuries throughout his sophomore year, Warren averaged a team-high 16.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Struggling through an ankle injury and a bout of mononucleosis, the 2009 Big 12 Freshman of the Year was still named honorable mention All-Big 12 despite only making 21 appearances in the 2009-2010 season.

During his freshman campaign, Warren was second on the team in scoring, posting 14.6 points while also grabbing 2.2 rebounds and dishing 3.1 assists per game.

With Griffin and Warren forming a lethal inside-outside combination, the Sooners would end the season with a 30-6 mark and an Elite Eight run, as Warren also earned second-team All-Big 12 honors.
