West Virginia U. guard held out of Final Four practice

By Greg Carey

West Virginia U. point guard Truck Bryant did not practice Tuesday afternoon as he continues to recover from a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot.
Bryant was recently fitted for an orthotic for his right sneaker in Durham, N.C. and arrived back in Morgantown yesterday, according to head coach Bob Huggins.
Bryant was seen walking in the tunnel near the locker rooms on crutches before WVU was set to practice.
“If he can’t practice he’s not going to play. We’re not going to throw him out there without knowing what he’s going to do. I won’t know until he comes out and we see what he does. It’s a whole lot different walking or jogging on the treadmill than it is coming out here and cutting and doing the things we have to do,” Huggins said.
The Mountaineers take on Duke in the second Final Four game Saturday at 8:47 p.m.
