Gophers’ Trevor Mbakwe arrested after violating restraining order
Minnesota junior forward Trevor Mbakwe was arrested Monday for violating a restraining order filed in by his former girlfriend in 2009. Mbakwe was released on bail Monday evening, but the case is being investigated by St. Paul police’s Family Sexual Violence Unit.

Kentucky freshman Enes Kanter was ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA in the second appeal ruling, the final ruling from the NCAA, “for receiving impermissible compensation from a professional team,” according to an NCAA release.

Sullinger records 7th double-double in narrow win against Iowa
Despite facing a halftime deficit for only the second time all year, the No. 2 Ohio State men's basketball team rallied to a closer-than-expected 73-68 win at Iowa on Tuesday night. After trailing by seven points at the break, the Buckeyes opened the second half on a quick 9-0 run.
