It’s official: West Virginia joins the Big 12 effective July 1, 2012
It took a few days longer than West Virginia fans wanted. But, it's official: West Virginia will join the Big 12 Conference as a full conference member effective July 1, 2012 after the Big 12 Board of Directors voted unanimously to accept West Virginia, according to a release from the University.
