Missouri House overturns voters’ decision on minimum wage
The Missouri House of Representatives voted 92-60 Monday to cap Missouri's minimum wage at the federal minimum wage level. The bill, House Bill 61, essentially reverses a voter-sponsored initiative to have the minimum wage move with inflation.

Bleak prospects for young people seeking employment
The unemployment rate for young people continues to be nearly twice that of the national average. A survey released Friday by the Labor Department shows that the national unemployment rate fell to 8.9 percent in February — down from 9 percent in the previous month.
