Tech’s campus is chock full of iconic buildings that define the university. This week’s question was “What is the best-looking building on campus?”

On Monday, Oct. 4, the Michigan Technological University Huskies played the Lakehead University Thunderwolves in the second exhibition game of the season. Hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, the Thunderwolves lost 6-0 in the game against the Huskies.
The game started off strong in the first period with a swift goal scored by Kyle Kukkonen at 4:13 and another point scored by Kash Rasmussen at 12:01. The second period saw Ryland Mosley and Logan Pietila make a goal each, with the first being scored on a powerplay at 9:54 and the second at 14:13. Two more goals were scored in the third period, with Logan Pietila at 9:15 and lastly Arvid Caderoth at 10:25.
The new goalie, Max Vayrynen, from Espoo, Finland, earned the shoutout of the game, for making 15 saves in his first Husky game. The final tally of shots-on-goal was 47-15, Michigan Tech-Lakehead. The Huskies will play their next game on Oct. 7 at Ferris State University, and return to the MacInnes arena on Oct. 21 to play Bemidji State University.
