Video: 25 Ducks Haley Wilson

Haley Wilson, a sophomore at the University of Oregon, was nominated and chosen to win the 25 Ducks Award. She was nominated for her active involvement in the community. She helps run a non-profit organization called Camp Kesem which sends children whose parents have had cancer to a camp that allows them to just be kids. She also is the philanthropy chairman for Kappa Kappa Gamma and is in charge of organizing their annual philanthropy dodgeball tournament. This year the ladies in Kappa Kappa Gamma raised almost $7,000 towards the KKG foundation and Early Childhood Cares.

Video: The best of the UO’s anonymous social media accounts

These anonymous social media accounts are widely popular among University of Oregon students. Students send in pictures, tweets or comments to these accounts hoping that whoever controls them will post their submissions online for everyone to see.

This cover photo contains screenshots of the profile pictures from these accounts. These accounts are @OregonMakeouts, @UOCrush and @UOBananas from Twitter, and University of Oregon Confessions Page from Facebook.

Video: Here are some questions that may help you decide if you should file your taxes.

April 15 is coming up! Here is a quiz that can help you determine if you need to file your taxes. In some cases you may not need to.

You can take the official quiz online at:
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Do-You-Need-to-File-a-Federal-Income-Tax-Return%3F

The University of Oregon also helps students with their taxes for free. This is through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

It is located in UO’s Lillis Business Complex on the fourth floor, in the accounting suite.

It is open on Saturday, March 12, from 12pm to 4:30pm. For more information go to http://blogs.uoregon.edu/beta/vita/.

Make sure you bring:
1) social security card
2) photo ID
3) tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, etc.)
