UO Zero Waste Program works to make sorority houses waste free

Kathryn Gerber, the Fraternity & Sorority Life coordinator for the Zero Waste program, has been working closely with all sorority houses to educate and create zero waste policies within the houses on the University of Oregon campus to one extent or another. With support from the Zero Waste program and guidance from the UO Sustainability Coalition Director at Large Allie Sasek, they have been able to make this dream a reality. Gerber and Sasek hope that they can reach out to all FSL houses and community members to help educate and create a “Greeks Go Green” campaign to help eliminate waste from their houses.
