Should Denver Broncos fan be worried? Yes

The Denver Broncos this year, as I have stated before, were on fire.

Literally they looked to be the best team in the NFL because of that prolific defense and when you have future Hall of Famer quarterback Peyton Manning at the helm, anything is possible.

But with Manning struggling tremendously this year, there was no way they could be the number one team.

In all nine games this year, Manning has thrown an interception, (multiple games throwing more than one) so one can imagine how that offense is looking.

Now in the last two games, that very prolific almost historical defense has been exposed and teams have been putting on a beating on this Denver Broncos team.

Not only has the defense been getting exposed, Peyton Manning has been playing even worse.

In his last game Sunday, versus division rival Kansas City Chiefs, Manning, threw five interceptions.

Not only that, he was benched. Reports have now been brought up that he will be out for a little while due to injury, but should Broncos fans be worried?

My answer is yes.

Your back-up quarterback is borderline terrible, and your defense is now starting to lose its cool and not play to well.

If this keeps up, these guys will be lucky to even see the wild-card.

Yes they are at 7-2 at the moment, but there are still many more games to play and if the Broncos are getting increasingly worse, this won’t be good for the team in the long run.

But, if Manning can come back healthy with a clear mind, I do think it is possible for the team to get it back together. But on a scale of one to freak out, you Broncos fans should be really freaking out at the moment.

Mayza wins AE POTW

Deanna Mayza, a junior guard, was named the America East Player of the Week after logging a pair of clutch performances that led the University of Hartford women’s basketball team to a 2-0 record during opening weekend.

Mayza averaged 19.0 points, 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds as the Hawks topped Cornell on Friday and Sacred Heart on Sunday.

A native of Pennsburg, Pa., Mayza led all scorers with 19 points on opening night as the Hawks nipped the Big Red, 53-50, at Chase Arena at the Reich Family Pavilion.

Adding four boards, three dimes and a pair of steals in the victory, Mayza highlighted the night by draining the game winning three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining.

Two days later, Mayza came through in the clutch again for Hartford.

With her team clinging on to a two-point advantage at Sacred Heart, she converted on four-consecutive free throws in the final 15.4 seconds to help the Hawks pull away with the 68-67 victory.

Scoring six points in the last minute, Mayza led the Hawks with 19 points, including a perfect 8-of-8 effort from the free throw line, while handing out a game-best six assists.

Over the weekend, Mayza shot 11-of-26 from the field (42.3%), including 4-of-8 from three (50.0), and finished 12-of-15 from the line (80.0%).

An America East All-Conference Third Team member a season ago, Mayza is no stranger to putting up big numbers.

In 2014-15, she scored in double-figures 17 times and had 21 games with five or more assists.

Even before attending the University of Hartford, Mayza was putting up ridiculous numbers.

She played three years of basketball and soccer at The Hill School and one year of basketball at Upper Perkiomen High School.

She was named 2009-10 Pottstown Mercury Player of the Year and Winter All-Area First Team while at Perkiome.

In just three years she became the all-time leading scorer in basketball with1,222 points and soccer with 67 goals in three years at The Hill School.

Mayza’s accolades don’t stop there though, she won two league championships and two state championships with the Hill School, received All-Area First Team distinction in 2010-11 and Winter All-First Team accolades in 2011-12.

Was named Pottstown Mercury Player of the Year in 2011-12 and was named to Mid-Atlantic Prep League academic team in 2012-13.

Lastly, Mayza played AAU ball for the Philadelphia Rebels.

Mayza and the Hawks have two games on the docket this week.

Hartford will look to build upon its 2-0 start on Thursday morning, Nov. 19, 2015 when it heads to Quinnipiac for an 11 a.m. contest.

Following that tilt, the Hawks return home on Sun, Nov. 22, 2105, to play host to the Lafayette Leopards at 2 p.m.

Pay the athletes

This week I am going to stray away from the average NFL rankings I do and talk about something that has kind of been a controversial topic for quite some time now.

That is whether or not college athletes should get paid while being in school.

I bring this topic up today because college basketball coach of Louisville Rick Pitino is under siege right now for a potential violation when it comes to recruiting players.

To make a long story short, there are reports and speculations that he helped recruiters have some “fun” with strippers as an incentive to go and play for him at Louisville.

It has not been determined yet whether or not that the athletes were given money in order for this to happen.

But what I have to say to that is, so what?

I have always been for schools to pay their students athletes.

And I speak on this for all levels in the collegiate field.

Now as much as I would love to be a student athlete, I am not and I do not fully know all of the benefits that they get.

But, I do know that these players are not all on full scholarship when it comes to playing.

Some do not even get a scholarship to play for the team.

With that being said, with the ridiculous class schedule they face as well as practice and meeting times there is no time for them to work and earn money for their personal life.

So the fact that they can get in serious trouble by accepting money from outside sources other than family is beyond me and truly blows my mind.

These student athletes are put on such high pedestals that people forget they are also human beings.

Yes, I get that they are there to focus on sports and school, but they do get leisure time and in my opinion handing them a stipend every semester would not hurt.

Now what they do with that money may cause problems; but if that does happen, they are also adults when they come into college so of course they will be held accountable. But the main fact of the matter is that some of these families can not support their child fully so why would it hurt to get some extra money from the school?

I mean they are a lead figure and if this is what they are going to be doing in the pros, just pay them.

Jessica Jurg earns AE Player of the Week award

Jessica Jurg of the University of Hartford women’s soccer team is a wonderful young talent that the team is very fortunate to have.

Jurg is the starting goalkeeper for the team and has been seeing playing time since her freshman year at the university.

Since starting, she has been phenomenal for the team.

This should be of no surprise though because even before attending the University of Hartford she was a force not to be dealt with.

Jessica Jurg reigns from Annen, The Netherlands and before Hartford she started playing soccer with the club VV Annen.

She then played two seasons for SC Heerenveen and began playing with PEC Zwolle at the age of 16.

Jurg actually made her debut in the highest women’s league in the Netherlands at the age of 15, being the youngest goalkeeper to do so.

She was then recruited to the University of Hartford and once she got her chance, their was no turning back for her.

During her freshman year in 2013, Jurg was named to the America East All-Rookie Team, started the final 16 games of the season in goal, and led the America East in goals against average (0.73) and shutouts (8).

Her 0.73 goals-against average was also 32 best in the nation.

She helped Hartford earn a shut out percentage of .500 which was 30 in the country.

Jurg ranked third in the conference in save percentage with a very impressive .818, made 54 saves, conceded only 12 goals and closed out her debut season with an overall record of 10-5-1.

She also recorded a career-high in saves with seven to help the team cruise to a 2-0 shutout of Binghamton (Oct. 17) and lastly to top it all off she was named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Keep in mind; this was only her freshman year, so hopefully she would only get better.

Well, she did. During the 2014 season in her sophomore year, Jurg Started and played in the final 13 games of the season, combined to concede just eight goals, which was the second-best goals-against average in the America East (0.63) during that season.

That 0.63 goals-against average ranked 14 among the nation’s Division I Goalkeepers.

Jessica Jurg helped the Lady Hawks shutout six opponents, including three-straight America East squads.

During that shutout streak, which included clean slates against Binghamton (Oct. 9), New Hampshire (Oct. 12), and Maine (Oct. 16), Hartford strung together 326:25 minutes of scoreless soccer with Jurg playing at the goalie position.

On top of everything else, Jurg ranked fourth in the America East in shutouts and fourth in shutouts per game with another impressive average of 0.46.

She stopped 45 shots; her .849 save percentage was the second-highest mark in the conference and the 28-best in the nation.

Once again she was named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Now for her third season as a junior, her dominance has not stopped.

Jessica Jurg has started and played in all 14 games.

In those 14 games, she has helped the team have seven shutouts.

Not only has she helped the team record seven shutouts on the season, she has not led up more than one goal in either game the Lady Hawks have won, loss, or tied.

Jessica Jurg just recently won an accolade for America East Player of the Week.

Jurg, earned her first career weekly award from the America East after shutting out a pair of league opponents last week.

She began her week by matching a season-high in saves (5) in Thursday’s shutout victory against the Seawolves.

Three days later, Jurg collected her conference-leading seventh shutout of the season after recording three saves at Binghamton.

Jurg enters the third week of America East action as the league’s leader in goals-against average (0.40), save percentage (.875) and shutouts per game (0.58).

On her career, she has posted 21 clean sheets which is very impressive for someone who has not started all the games in her career.

This young talent is a star on and off the field and Hartford is very fortunate to be able to have her play and help lead this team to victories.

Jessica Jurg hopefully will continue to bll out and play well for the University of Hartford for the remainder of her junior yer and all of senior year.

She has proven time and time again that she is a pivotal player to this team and with her help shutting out teams, they will continue to be a dominant team.

Top 5 NFL QBs going into week four

Before I get into this, just really want to let everyone know, that this top five quarterbacks list is based on how the season has been going this year.

Not last year, not overall, but solely this year.

Feel free to disagree but this is just my top five from what I have been observing this NFL season.

First lets start off with number five.

People may look at me like I am crazy but I have to give this spot to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

Andy Dalton this season has been as hot as his hair color, red-hot.

Going into week four of the season he has thrown eight touchdowns and only one interception.

So not only has he been avoiding turnovers he has been slinging the rock with authority having eight touchdowns on the year.

Dalton is sixth in the league in passing yards and has helped lead his team to a 3-0 start.

At number four I have Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

This one should not be so shocking because Matt Ryan has not been terrible since he’s entered the league.

But this year he has been on point.

A lot has to do with star WR Julio Jones and finally a solid running game but Matt Ryan has been helping out the Falcons tremendously this year.

Has not thrown that many touchdown passes (5) but is second in the league right now in passing yards. Falcons are also 3-0 due to Matt Ryan’s success

Number three is easily the hardest position to rank for me right now.

But I truly believe right now, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is the third best in the league right now.

Unfortunately for the Steelers he his facing an injury right now and is out for a while but, the three games he has played he has been great.

Big Ben is third in the league in passing yards and though his team is 2-1, he still proves that he is one of the best in the league even with an average wide receiving group.

That group is at average for star WR Antonio Brown. Aside from him they would be awful.

Secondly, I have arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, the New England Patriots golden boy, Tom Brady.

Tom Brady is playing precise and is looking better than he ever has before.

Leads the league in passing yards by a landslide, was first in the league with nine passing touchdowns and even more impressive, he has thrown zero interceptions.

This man is upset at the NFL for tainting his name and he’s taking it out on the league.

Last but not least, the best quarterback in the NFL based off this season I would have to say is the discount double-check bad man himself, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers has been arguably the best QB in the NFL for the past five seasons.

He is deadly accurate and at home, almost unbeatable.

Though having a very mediocre wide receiver set to throw too, he makes the best out of it and still plays unbelievably.

He has thrown ten touchdowns in three games with no interceptions.

The man is on fire and he doesn’t seem to be burning out any time soon.

With that being said this was kind of hard for me to decide because there are other quarterbacks in the game this year who is also playing at a high level.

For example, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has been magnificent this year also.

I did not choose him in the top five because that teams defense has a lot to do with their success.

I am not taking anything away from Palmer but due to the defense being so good it kind of makes me a little reluctant to have him in the top five.

Another quarterback who I feel I could have put in the top five is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

I personally have always been a fan of him and this year he did not play too bad.

Unfortunately for him and his team he has been injured again with a colloar bone injury and so for that I didn’t put him up there.

He did play well but to top the five other quarterbacks that I mentioned? Not a chance.

I do plan on doing more of these as the season progresses but I do not believe there will be much change to this top five this season.

Overall it should be a really interesting season.

NFL season off to unlikely start

Anyone following the NFL this season can agree that a lot of surprises have been happening this year.

What I mean by surprises is teams who should be winning, aren’t, and teams that should be losing, aren’t.

I don’t even know where to begin. It is only week two and the NFL has my mind all over the place with the madness.

First, let’s start off with the really bad.

The Philadelphia Eagles have looked horrendous the first two weeks of the season and with a Chip Kelly-led team, this is not supposed to happen.

The Eagles are 0-2 and this is not what anybody expected.

At worst, I would have expected them to be 1-1 since they faced division rival the Dallas Cowboys.

But not only have they been losing, they also have looked really bad doing it.

The electrifying offense that head coach Kelly runs looks unorganized, unprepared and cannot make a block to save their life.

Star running back DeMarco Murray has been stuffed and not been able to show his true potential at all. This could be due to a hurt offensive line, but Murray isn’t a chump. He should be able to make plays regardless.

So to me right now, the most shocking is definitely the Philadelphia Eagles, and as a somewhat fan due to their potential they have, I hope they get it together throughout the season.

The next team I would like to cover is the Denver Broncos.

Now they’re 2-0, as expected, so nothing surprising, right? Wrong.

Soon-to-be Hall of Famer and starting quarterback for the Broncos Peyton Manning has been looking like his brother, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

And believe me when I tell you, this is not a good thing. It’s actually terrible and scary for the Broncos.

His arm has looked weak, inaccurate and he has been off his game throwing more interceptions than touchdowns, which is very unlikely for one of the greatest regular season quarterbacks of all time.

Yes, I said regular season, but that debate will be saved for another day.

But thanks for a very solid defense, the sluggish looking offense has been getting saved and this is why they are 2-0. For the Broncos sake they better hope the offense gets on a roll.

Another team that I am highly shocked about that’s doing terrible is the Indianapolis Colts.

From a previous article that I have written earlier in the year, I actually said that the Colts are one of the teams to have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl and win it all.

The way they are playing now, I highly regret that choice.

The Colts offense have looked like a high school freshmen football team the way they have been playing. Andrew Luck, their starting quarterback, who is supposed to be at least a top five quarterback in the league, played his last game and looked like he never started before.

I am not sure why but Andrew Luck has looked so terrible in the Colts first two games, but this is not a good sign for them.

The Colts, on paper, have one of the best offenses with veterans and young stars that make the team very balanced. For them to not put up big numbers is highly disappointing and I am sure it is very frustrating for any Colts fan.

As a Patriots fan, I am very happy this is happening because I feel right now, no team in the NFL can beat the New England Patriots, and I thought that the Colts were our biggest rival.

With the way terrific Tom Brady has been playing, there is no stopping us.

But again, let me say this. I understand the NFL is only going into week three and it is a long season.

Just some teams better hope they step it up or it will be a very long season for these teams and fans of the teams.

Men’s tennis aces their way into a new season

Acing their way into competition led by the doubles team of Will Drumright and Bryan Einstosss, the University of Hartford men’s tennis team enjoyed a strong opening weekend at the Connecticut State Championships hosted by Yale.

Drumright and Einstoss advanced to the finals of the “A” doubles bracket in their first action of the 2015–16 season.

Men’s coach Torr Terranova had nothing but high praise for the team.

“This was a strong opening for the team,” Terranova said. “Going into the event, the staff pressed on playing smart, competitive doubles. I feel we accomplished this goal, having everyone show vast improvement with decision making and execution. Will and Bryan were the perfect example of that.

“Another area of success was our depth,” he added. “We have the deepest team, in terms of skill and ability, that we have had in over a decade. All 10 student-athletes showed incredible poise, competitiveness and desire. If everyone plays as consistently as they did over the weekend and pays attention to areas that still need to be improved upon, this year has great potential to be magical.”

Terranova is beyond excited for what this team has to offer.

Starting off in doubles, Drumright and Einstoss took out the Yale duo of Jason Brown/Nathan Brown in the opening round, 6-2, then defeated Fairfield’s pair of Jeffrey Rodgers/Ofir Solomon 6-4.

A matchup with Quinnipiac’s Jonas Kuwert/Willen van Biezen was next and it produced a 7-5 victory for the Hawks duo, setting up a showdown against Yale’s Photiades/Charlie Adams in the finals on Sunday.

Drumright and Einstoss put up a strong fight, but fell in the finals by a score of 6-2.

With such a valiant fight they are poised to continue to do well throughout the season.

Over on the singles side, Alexander Romaine had a standout performance in the “B” singles bracket for the Hawks as well.

The sophomore delivered a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over Sacred Heart’s Cory Seltman in the opening round, then continued in the winner’s bracket with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Fairfield’s Luke Lemieux. He then battled with Marist’s Carlos Romero in an epic contest, falling by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 in a tremendous fight. Romaine then capped off the event with a win in the consolation bracket, topping Fairfield’s Peter Colliard in another marathon match, 6-2, 2-6, 12-10.

Several other Hawks posted strong results in the “B” singles draw.

Einstoss, junior Harrison Max, senior Nicholas Sharwarko and junior Morgan White, each won two matches over the two days, while senior Luis Montes also registered a victory in the draw.

On the doubles side, the duo of Romaine and sophomore Daniel Rombola won a pair of matches in the “B” draw, with Sharwarko and junior Juan Molina also collecting a pair of wins.

Max and Montes collected a victory on the doubles side as well at the event.

Rombola also played one of the best singles matches of any Hawk in his opening round in the “A” flight, falling in a tremendous battle against Yale’s Photiades, 7-6 (4), 7-5.

Molina also collected a victory against Sacred Heart’s Matthew Suprenant in the “B” flight consolation matches, 6-4, 6-2.

The men’s team will return to action next weekend for the UConn Invite, followed by the first home match of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 29, a dual against Fairfield slated for 2 p.m.

The men’s tennis team is starting off really strong and this is great to see.

Lack of attendance at sports events needs to stop

The University of Hartford surprising to some is actually a division one sports school.

So that means our student athletes play at the highest level possible in collegiate sports.

With that said, why is our attendance rate so low when it comes to sports games?

Yes, it is true that our sports aren’t the best of the best, and that the University of Hartford sports does not get that much recognition on television.

But, that should not mean that our attendance for the sports games we have to offer here at the University should be so low.

Throughout the fours years I have attended the University of Hartford, and the multitude of games I have attended, it is honestly sad to witness the low attendance rate at every game.

I know a lot of students at this university are very big on sports, so for them to not enjoy free, live, collegiate games is truly baffling.

They rave about how they want to go to games but do not take the opportunity to go and watch our own division one games, which completely contradicts what they want to do.

I get that it is not of professional level but we should be grateful for even having sports teams that play at this high of a level.

I also get that our teams do not win much, but have you guys ever heard of home field advantage?

Maybe if there were more students at the games we could be a force to the other opponent and potentially help our sports teams win more games.

There are some schools that do not even have sports teams and I know that would be terrible for students who actually are very big into sports.

So I personally wish there was a change in that.

Especially now that our fall sports teams are playing very well there should be no excuse to not go and support them.

I will give credit where it is due though, Aton Goff, University of Hartford Athletic Director has been trying his hardest to promote games and get the student body to attend different games.

He does this by promoting Hawknation Domination.

Ever since Anton Goff has started doing this, there actually has been in increase to the attendance in our sports games.

It is not the ideal amount, and I would like to see more but it is actually nice to see.

With that being said how about we start with this weekend?

There is a Pre-Game tailgate going on Saturday Sept. 19th before the men’s soccer game.

If you do not have anything to do, go to it, mingle, enjoy good company, and most importantly support our men’s soccer team.

The game starts at 7pm so tailgating will be before that.

Then after that, depending on the status of the game, go out and celebrate with the people you just met and enjoy the rest of your night the right way.

So come on out, bring your friends, and make life loing memories.

You won’t regret it.

The NFL season kicks off: who’s the next Super Bowl champion?

With the NFL Season set to kick off on Thursday September 10th, one of the biggest questions that fans want to know is, who will win it all this year?

Now I can be extremely biased and say that my favorite team, The New England Patriots will dominate all season long and repeat as champions.

But that is not the case because I know it is not true.

Though I do believe the Patriots have a great chance to repeat, the AFC competition is just too strong this year and it can honestly go to anybody.

I would honestly not be surprised if the Patriots didn’t even win their division of the AFC East.

Thats how good this years teams have gotten; it is well balanced.

Now this is my true belief in whom will make it to the Super Bowl, Ill give it between four teams.

Two in the AFC and two in the NFC

My AFC picks will be either the Indianapolis Colts or the New England Patriots representing the AFC in the Superbowl.

My NFC picks will be either the Dallas Cowboys or the Arizona Cardinals to represent the NFC in the Superbowl.

These four teams in my eyes have the greatest chance due to how their teams are looking so far.

If these teams can avoid key star player injuries then I firmly believe that they’ll make a run for the biggest game of the year.

Let me explain why for each team.

The New England Patriots, arguably have one of the greatest Head Coaches/Quarterback duos in the NFL history.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick despite their recent controversy with the league are some of the best at what they do. EVER.

With just those two alone your team is destined for success and with the Patriots barely losing anybody on offense from last years championship team, they are still destined to be great this season.

The Indianapolis Colts, have arguably the best starting offense this year in the NFL.

Acquiring veteran WR Andre Johnson and veteran RB Frank Gore was exactly what QB Andre Luck needed to prosper this year.

They have a lot more experience and Andrew Luck is destined to be a future Hall of Fame QB so there is no doubt in my mind, that the Colts time is now.

The Arizona Cardinals, in all honesty, are my number one choice to win it all this year.

They had a top 10 defenses in last years season and could’ve had a very strong offense last year if their starting QB Carson Palmer did not get injured.

Mind you, they went 10-6 and DIDNT make the playoffs.

That is almost never the case.

They’re on a hunt for redemption and I firmly believe they will shock the world this year.

Last but not least you have America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys.

I personally have been a fan of the Cowboys ever since they’ve had RB Marion Barber, so for those who know, thats a long time ago.

They aren’t my favorite team but the potential they have always held has always interested me.

Unfortunately, they always only have a good team on paper, never in actuality.

Up until last year though when a controversial incomplete pass call stopped them from their Super Bowl dreams.

QB Tony Romo in my opinion is at his peak and WR Dez Bryant right now, is the best WR in the league.

Along with a very solid defense to back them up and veteran TE in Jason Witten, the Cowboys posses a great chance to make it to the big stage.

Though these are my top four teams who have the greatest shot at winning it all, I do have other teams who can make a run just like these four.

I believe the Pittsburgh Steelers have just as good of a chance as anybody else when it comes to the AFC.

For the NFC I would say Packers but I doubt it so I will say and have to go with the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady vs. Goodell: the non-deflated controversy

UPDATE:
This article was written the night before and published on the day that Tom Brady’s suspension was overturned.

If anyone watches sports, and has been keeping up with what’s been going on in sports, they know one of the biggest stories out right now (unfortunately) is the case between NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

For those that do not know, the controversy started because the New England Patriots were accused of deflating balls during an NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts in which the Patriots dominated the Colts with a whopping 45-7 win.

Once news got out that this was true, the NFL Commissioner Goodell targeted Brady and suspended him four games due to the fact that Brady “potentially” knew about the deflated balls.

There was no visual or dominant evidence to prove this was true that Brady knew about the balls being deflated, but yet Goodell felt the need it was still a good reason (whatever it may be) to suspend the quarterback for a total of four games.

Now in my very humble opinion this has to be one of the most ridiculous sports controversies I have ever known to exist. I say this with good reasoning. But before I state that reasoning, I will admit, even being a Patriots fan, what they did was not right and the consequences the team received as a whole was correct.

Now I am upset because Goodell has single-handedly picked on Brady and I do not feel that is right.

He suspended him for literally no reason because there is no proof that he knew of what was going on. If there was proof, then this entire controversy would be over with. But, unfortunately it isn’t because Goodell is a doofus.

Take this for example, Greg Hardy, defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys who was charged with a domestic violence charge. Domestic violence as in harming/striking a female and thinking it was ok to do.

Guess how many games Goodell suspended Hardy?

If you guessed anything higher than four games, unfortunately you are wrong. Goodell suspended Hardy with exactly four games, and that to me is honestly ridiculous beyond belief.

How can someone with that much responsibility mess up that bad?

With that four game suspension, Goodell basically told the world that domestic violence and potentially knowing about a scandal is the same thing.

I don’t know about you, but I do know that there is no way Hardy should have gotten only four games or what Tom Brady probably did should be getting as high as four games.

I am not trying to sound completely biased but it’s hard when everyone knows that the suspension is ridiculous. Whether you are a patriots fan or not, people know what is right in this situation.

I get it, you either really like the Patriots or you hate them and Brady’s guts. But any person in their right mind would not agree with the suspension. They would only accept it because Brady is the star player of the Patriots and non-fans want to see them fail.

But regardless of all that, Goodell is an idiot and to wrongly defame Brady’s name was not smart on his part. He better hope this case ends in his favor because if it doesn’t, Goodell will look extremely ignorant and he may be done for this.

It just blows my mind because if this was any other team or any other player, none of this would be such an issue.

But as I stated before, you’re either a Patriots fan and you love them, or you’re not a Patriots fan and you hate them. There is no between the two.

So to be honest it makes sense why Goodell would make such an idiotic move in suspending Brady. If he was to let him slide, then the entire NFL fan base – who is not a fan of the Patriots and Tom Brady – would have been in an outrage.

Therefore, I personally believe that Goodell did this to save that from happening.

Hopefully all of this gets fixed ASAP for Brady and the New England Patriots’ sake because this is nothing but a large distraction to the team as a whole.

We all know what the right decision will be and if the world knows, hopefully the court case that is being held, the judge will also agree and make the right decision and have this controversy be over with. It is a little ridiculous after all.
