SLU Dance Marathon 2023

       On Nov. 18, 2023, Saint Louis Dance Marathon hosted their main event. Dance Marathon is a student led philanthropic movement that raises awareness and collects monetary donations for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. During their main events, Dance Marathon teams around the country honors patients from local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. These patients are given a special title. They are known as Miracle Ambassadors. This year Saint Louis Dance Marathon honored six special patients as their Miracle Ambassadors. Their names are Jack, Easton, Ollie, Logan and Michael. During their main event, each of these Miracle Ambassadors and their families got on stage and shared their journey at our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals here in Saint Louis. After several highlights of dance teams on campus and several fun fundraising activities, the Dance Marathon team revealed their fundraising grand total. As each member flipped their sign, the team announced that this year they raised $34,012.13 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Shop Local–The Tower Grove Farmer’s Market

The Tower Grove Farmer’s Market is a hub for local vendors within Saint Louis and surrounding areas. This local market launched in 2006 and has grown each year. Since 2006, the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market has expanded to areas outside of Tower Grove. There is the traditional Saturday market in Tower Grove, the Boulevard Market on Sundays in Richmond Heights, the Rockwell Beer Garden Market in Francis Park, and the Tuesday Market in Tower Grove. The market hosts 130 vendors weekly. These vendors range from fresh produce, baked goods, merchandise, art, and live music. There truly is something for everyone at the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market

Breast Cancer Awareness

On Saturday February 11th, Saint Louis University honored the strength and bravery of those fighters, survivors, and souls lost to Breast Cancer at the women’s basketball game against George Washington. The arena was buzzing with pink ribbons and sense of hope as everyone rallied in support behind those impacted by Breast Cancer.
