Photos: Jurassic 5 brings a party to the Cuthbert Amphitheater

In celebration of the 20 year anniversary of their Word of Mouth tour, hip-hop group Jurassic 5 brings a party to the Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene, Oregon with special guests Supernatural, and Dilated Peoples. Dilated Peoples tours in support of their new album “Directors of Photography” which will be released on August 12, 2014 through the independent record label Rhymesayers. Supernatural joins the Word of Mouth reunion tour after 25 years in the hip hop industry. The Word of Mouth Reunion Tour’s next stop is at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California on July 11, 2014.

Photo: Oregon softball falls to Arizona State 4-2

After sweeping Stanford last week, the No.1 ranked Oregon Ducks return home to take on the No. 3 ranked Arizona State Sun Devils in a three game series at Howe Field in Eugene. The Sun Devils arrive in Eugene after shutting out the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles at home and aim to knock Oregon out of their number one ranking. Oregon’s starting pitcher Cheridan Hawkins looks to lead the Ducks to a victory in game one.

The Ducks next play Arizona State at 4 p.m. for game two of the series at Howe Field on May 3, 2014.

Photos: Oregon softball — No. 1 Ducks rally in the fourth to beat Golden Bears 15-3

After a 9-1 victory yesterday, the No. 1 Oregon Ducks return to Howe Field to host the California Golden Bears for game two of their series. Since gaining the unanimous no. 1 ranking before the Oregon State series last week, the Ducks look to continue to their offensive success with another sweep at home this week against Cal. The Golden Bears are looking to even the series with Oregon today at 1-1 with the chance to take the series with a win on Saturday.

After defeating the Bruins in the first two games of the series, the Bruins were able to bounce back to win today’s game 6-1. Two of the four games the Bruins have lost this year have happened here in Eugene this weekend.

Next, the Ducks travel to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers at 2 p.m. on April 12, 2014.

Photos: Acrobatics and Tumbling — Ducks beat Hawaii Pacific and Alderson-Broaddus on senior night

The Oregon Ducks acrobatics and tumbling team (3-0) host the Hawaii Pacific Sea Warriors (0-2) and the Alderson-Broaddus Battlers (1-3) at Matthew Knight Arena for the final home meet of the season on March 16, 2014. The Sea Warriors arrive in Eugene on senior day after losing to Quinnipiac and Azusa Pacific in their first two meets of the tumbling season. Prior to coaching, Battlers coaches Hannah Foley and Jacquie Svadeba competed at Oregon under head coach Felecia Mulkey. The Ducks look to extend their win streak to 25 with a win on senior night and remain undefeated at home for another season.

The Ducks next travel to West Virginia to compete against the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons at 3 pm on March 24, 2014.

Photos: Oregon Baseball — Ducks beat Seattle University Redhawks 4-3 in second game of doubleheader

With a 100% chance of rain on Wednesday’s forecast,  the Oregon Ducks (9-3) play the Seattle Redhawks (5-7) at PK Park for the second of their two game series on Mar. 4, 2014. Coming off of an electric afternoon scoring ten runs, Oregon looks to carry their momentum into the second game of the double-header against Seattle. After losing a two game series to BYU, Seattle looks to slow Oregon’s offense and rally back with runs of their own in this next game.

Photos: Oregon volleyball — Ducks outlast Arizona Wildcats 3-2 in fifth set thriller

In the first volleyball game this season at Matthew Knight Arena that went a full five sets, the Oregon Ducks battled tenaciously to stay in the fight with a resilient squad of Arizona Wildcats. Oregon closed the first set with a 25-23 win, but dropped the next two sets to Arizona. After notching a critical 25-22 win for the fourth set, the Ducks held on to their momentum with a 15-12 win during the tiebreaker fifth set. With the win, Oregon breaks its three-game losing streak and head to Los Angeles to face the USC Trojans on Friday, Nov. 8.
