Mark and Jair to discuss how the New York Mets may be moving forward with their roster, considering the plethora of injuries happening within the team. The Yankees have been playing well in the Bronx, meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers have picked up First Baseman, Albert Pujols. Mark and Jair also talked about the issues with the Chicago White Sox manager, Tony La Russa’s opinions of Yermin Mercedes going yard on a 3-0 count.
In the NBA, the Boston Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards in the first NBA Play-In game while the Indiana Pacers defeated the Charlotte Hornets. The Wizards and Pacers will face off to determine who gets the final seeding spot in the Eastern Conference.
The duo discussed the top-three seeds in the East, between the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers. Will the Brooklyn Nets have enough team chemistry to go far and defeat others? Will a star from the trio of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden look for rest during the postseason? We shall see.

Welcome back, everyone! Week 8 has come to an end already, can you believe it? I feel like It was just yesterday where we were struggling to get past week 1.
This week, we bring back a fan favorite from season 2! If you recall, Am I The Jerk is when we deep dive into the “Am The A******” thread on Reddit and find the best stories to read to one another. From there we give the deliberation if the person in the story is truly the “jerk.”
In this episode, we read threads ranging from mothers who were too sick to partake in their own daughter’s wedding, to children who refuse to acknowledge their half-siblings (yep…we go there).
This is our second to last episode and while we are excited for you all to hear this episode as well as our final episode, it is bittersweet for both of us. We hope you enjoy this episode and we hope you come back in week 10 for our final goodbye.
Remember, Fridays are for the homies.
Much love,
Liz & Brandon

It’s another episode of You, Me, Buscemi! How fun. In the last episode, we watched one of Buscemi’s earlier works, Parting Glances. The New York Times reviewed the film simply as “passionate!” They were not wrong! While overall we had some mixed feelings about the film, there was plenty to talk about as Buscemi played a major role.
This week, we watched the 2010 film Pete Smalls is Dead. At the risk of spoiling the episode, we hated it. The film, starring Peter Dinklage, was nearly impossible to find anywhere and probably for good reason. The neo-noir was, at best, weird and confusing. There was a lot that didn’t make sense, and where the film did have clarity and reason, it was boring and off-putting. In searching for literally any context or information on the film, all we were able to find was a Wikipedia page with a one-line description and a Letterboxd review saying, “Horrid! Wishing ill and suffering on everyone involved.” We agree!
Buscemi, however, really was the only star of the film. With an appearance that lasted maybe five minutes, he brought the most life to the scene and honestly, to the rest of the film. His character and costume were absolutely absurd, as he was donned in all black and a bleach-blonde perm. For our “Game Time!” of the week, we talked a lot about his hair and why he is the way that he is. It was thrilling!
We hope you enjoy this episode at least more than we enjoyed the film! Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter @youmebuscemi. Thank you for listening!

Last week, we brought you President John Fry. This week, we bring you our tattoo adventure and our vaccination horror stories, haha! Yes, that’s right. We got tattoos just for your listening pleasure…the things we do for you, our loyal listeners. To be fair, we had already planned on getting tattoos, but documenting our experience for you just seems like second nature at this point!
Our tattoo adventures will surely make you laugh as it made us laugh…and cringe recording it. We also share with you the process we went through to get our vaccines and explain to you just how gnarly we felt the day after getting that second dose of that sweet Pfizer.
We only have a few more episodes left until we say our final “see you later homies,” but that’s okay, because nothing is ever completely over. Stay tuned!
It’s another episode of “You, Me, Buscemi!” Last week, we watched one of Buscemi’s earlier works, “Parting Glances.” It was rife with ’80s cliches, passion and Steve Buscemi. It was certainly not what we were expecting, but it was decent nonetheless. It was nice to see Buscemi in more of a leading role, even though certain aspects of the plot were disappointing.
This week, we sat down and watched the film “Paris, I Love You.“ The film is an anthology-style love letter to Paris, with nearly 20 different short films all strung together to show love and lust in Paris. We really only focused on Buscemi’s film, a 10-minute short directed by the Coen brothers.
In the short, Buscemi manages to convey so much by saying so little. He actually has zero lines, which we mentioned is really a tell-tale sign of an excellent actor! His character was similar to most of his others: a man out of his element, a little pathetic but in a loveable way. We enjoyed the short, and the concept of the film as a whole gave us plenty to talk about.
Thank you for listening, as always! We hope you enjoy this episode. You can find our previous episodes on all podcast streaming services. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @youmebuscemi. See you next time!
This past week, Mark and Jair discussed the play of Francisco Lindor and his struggles during the season so far. The Mets also fired Chili Davis. The Yankees got to face off against the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees won the series 2-1.
Both Mark and Jair discussed what’s going on in the NBA. How will the Miami Heat do in the playoffs? Will the Los Angeles Lakers go far during the postseason?
Lastly, the duo discussed the state of the NFL after the draft.

Welcome back to another week in our final season for “Ain’t That Something.” It honestly feels so surreal that there are only four episodes left until we say our final goodbye. But that is something to focus on a little later. Right now, we are still in the middle of a powerful season!
As we explained at the beginning of the term, this season will have the theme of “full send,” meaning we want to give you all the most exciting and interesting content as possible. We’re pretty sure that our guest this week set the standard for “full send.”
This week, we have the one and only John Fry. That’s right. The President of the entire university. This is something we have been planning for a long time, and trust us when we say that keeping this a secret from everyone was hard on both of us…especially Brandon, haha!
This episode, which is primarily an interview, we “sit down” with President Fry as he takes us on his journey from consultant to university president. We also ask him questions, like what goes through his mind when he has to make a decision that impacts the school and how he handles toxicity of Greek life.
All in all, this was a great episode, and we were honored that John Fry took time out of his day to chat with us.
Thank you so much for all of the continued support, and we can’t wait for you all to hear the remainder of the season.
See y’all next week.
Liz & Brandon.

This past week, Mark and Jair discussed the play of the New York Yankees. What do they need to do in order to get rolling on the season? In the National League East, Mark feels that the Phillies need to make a trade for another starter.
Both Mark and Jair discussed the current news in the NBA. How will the Knicks do in NBA Free Agency? Are they now officially a destination that Free Agents may want to go to? How do they compare to the Brooklyn Nets? Should people be concerned about the Portland Trail Blazers? How are the Atlanta Hawks doing?
The NFL Draft is coming up. Be sure to take a look at it.

Welcome back to “You, Me, Buscemi!” For those just tuning in, this is the show where we, Chris and Lena, pick Steve Buscemi movies we’ve never seen and talk about them. Specifically, we cast guesses about the film before we watch it, and then we come back and assess our answers. We throw in some games along the way; it’s a great time.
Last episode, we watched “Ghost World.” It turned out to be a great movie that Steve Buscemi is actually in a lot of! The movie was fine; there were parts we liked and parts we didn’t. Chris couldn’t get past how one of the characters looked like a refrigerator from the ’90s (weird), and Lena was really mad that Scarlett Johansson’s character got no attention.
In this episode, we watched the 1986 indie film “Parting Glances.” Early in Steve’s career, the film showcased his more romantic side, as he was cast as one of the romantic leads. The film was confusing, and seemingly all the characters ended up exactly where they started. We had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately they just weren’t met. For our “Game Time” this episode, we speculated what type of music Steve’s character, Nick, made and what some potential songs of his would be.
We hope you enjoy this episode, and thank you so much for listening. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter @youmebuscemi! See you next time!
