Capturing the nation’s capital

After spending half the summer interning in Washington, D.C., I’m an even bigger believer that our nation’s capital is one of our nation’s absolute best cities. The memorials, the museums, the history and the nightlife make this a great city for young people in particular. The only downside would be the summer weather (prepare to sweat a lot if you’re brave enough to walk the city streets during the day). Here a just a few of the beautiful sights open to the public.

var metaslider_40804 = function($) {
$(‘#metaslider_40804’).nivoSlider({
boxCols:7,
boxRows:5,
pauseTime:6000,
effect:”fade”,
controlNav:1,
directionNav:true,
pauseOnHover:true,
animSpeed:600,
prevText:””,
slices:15,
manualAdvance:false
});
};
var timer_metaslider_40804 = function() {
var slider = !window.jQuery ? window.setTimeout(timer_metaslider_40804, 100) : !jQuery.isReady ? window.setTimeout(timer_metaslider_40804, 100) : metaslider_40804(window.jQuery);
};
timer_metaslider_40804();
