Oregon track and field senior Laura Roesler was named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-American Second Team Thursday afternoon.
This is the second academic honor Roesler has received this season after she was named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The middle distance runner from Fargo, North Dakota graduated this year with a 3.54 GPA in psychology. In addition to her accomplishments in the classroom, Roesler had a fantastic season on the track, winning both the indoor and outdoor 800 championships.
Roesler leaves Oregon as the most decorated All-American in track and field history with 17 honors.
Fans can see Roesler compete this weekend at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, California.
