In their final home game of the 2013-2014 regular season, the No. 1 ranked Oregon Ducks tied the No. 3 Arizona Sun Devils 2-2 in the final game of the three-game series on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Howe Field in Eugene. The Sun Devils took the first game of the series, beating the Ducks 4-2 on Friday. On Saturday the Ducks came back with a vengeance, blowing out the Sun Devils 12-2 in a game that ended after the sixth inning due to the mercy rule. The rain fell hard on Howe Field on Sunday, causing two rain delays in which the field tarp had to be brought out. Both teams scored their two runs in the fifth inning. Oregon had a chance to beat the Sun Devils after the second rain delay in the bottom of the sixth inning, but were unable to capitalize.
The Ducks head to Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, May 8th to take on the Wildcats in their final series in the regular season.
