Valero Alamo Bowl top plays: Oregon 30, Texas 7

The top plays from the Valero Alamo Bowl featuring the No. 10 Oregon Ducks and the Texas Longhorns.

First Quarter:

On third down Texas quarterback Case McCoy forces a pass downfield which is intercepted by Avery Patterson who returns it 37 yards for the first touchdown of the game. PAT GOOD. Ducks 7, Longhorns 0

After stalling in the red zone, Oregon kicker Matt Wogan makes a 25-yard field goal on the Ducks first offensive drive. Ducks 10, Longhorns 0

On 4th down and 7 Case McCoy finds wide receiver Jaxon Shipley for an eight yard completion and the first down.

Case McCoy runs the quarterback sneak up the middle from one yard out for the Longhorn’s first touchdown of the game. PAT GOOD. Ducks 10, Longhorns 7

Second Quarter:

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota is hit from behind by Texas defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat who forced a fumble. After bouncing around the ball was knocked out of bounds, allowing Oregon to maintain possession. Duck left tackle Tyler Johnstone was injured on the play.

Matt Wogan connects on another field goal, this time from 32 yards out. Ducks 13, Longhorns 7

After a 15-yard personal foul on Oregon freshman offensive lineman Cameron Hunt, the Ducks are forced to punt the ball away. Alejandro Maldonado kicks it 34 yards. Texas takes over possession.

Texas running back Malcolm Brown busts a huge 40 yard run on first down. Career long run for Brown.

Senior wide receiver Josh Huff scores the first Oregon offensive touchdown after taking a shovel pass from Marcus Mariota 16 yards for the score. PAT GOOD. Ducks 20, Longhorns 7

Third Quarter:

Matt Wogan finishes the first drive of the second half with his third field goal, hitting from 39 yards out. Ducks 23, Longhorns 7

Texas brings in backup dual-threat quarterback Tyrone Swoopes in place of Case McCoy.

Marcus Mariota loses the ball on a pump fake but is able to fall on top of it, preventing the turnover. Looked to be a face mask on the play but the referees didn’t call the penalty.

Matt Wogan misses on his fourth attempt, bouncing the ball off the right upright. Texas takes over possession at the 20 yard line.

Oregon wide receiver Braylon Addison is interfered with on a punt return by John Harris, giving the Ducks the ball in Texas territory.

Fourth Quarter:

Oregon defensive back Ifo Ekpre-Olomu shows some nice hustle to down the ball at the three yard line after a good punt from Alejandro Maldonado. Texas takes over possession.

Texas running back Malcolm Brown converts another fourth down conversion with a strong seven yard run up the middle of the field.

Oregon linebacker Derrick Malone intercepts Case McCoy and returns it 38 yards for the second Duck pick-six of the game. PAT GOOD. Ducks 30, Longhorns 7
