Incoming freshman recruit Tyree Robinson, a highly touted football and basketball recruit, is facing harassment charges after slapping a woman over a dispute near campus Sunday morning.
The altercation occurred when Robinson tried to get the victim to leave the residence.
Rather than being taken into custody, Eugene police decided to issue a citation to the young athlete. His arraignment is set to take place at the Eugene Municipal Court on July 30.
The University of Oregon has yet to comment on the matter.
Robinson and his twin brother, Tyrell, starred in both football and basketball for Lincoln high school in San Diego, Calif. Both players are expected to contend for starting positions immediately on Nick Aliotti’s defense.
