Preview: Emerald vs Hops

Neither team has had success recently; the Emeralds will enter the series hoping to snap a seven-game losing skid, and the Hops have dropped each of their last four and seven of eight dating back to June 23rd.

In their first series this season, Hillsboro took two out of three from Eugene, outscoring the Ems 14 to three at Hillsboro Ballpark.

For the Emeralds, southpaw Erik Schoenrock  (0-1) will make his fourth start of the season as he hopes to bounce back after giving up three earned runs in four innings in his last start, a losing effort against Salem-Keizer. Hillsboro’s starting pitcher is to-be-determined.

Monday night is Good Karma Monday at PK Park, as fans will be allowed to pick their own price for a ticket, with half the proceeds going to Dive for a Cure supporting breast cancer awareness.
