U Police Respond to Break-In at Shoreline Ridge

 

Early Tuesday morning, University of Utah Police responded to a break-in that occurred in Shoreline Ridge. 

The intruder, a white male with shoulder-length blond hair and a beard, reportedly entered the residence hall through a window. He then allegedly entered a resident’s room and flashed a female student before leaving the scene. According to an alert issued by campus safety around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the man then fled toward Red Butte Canyon Road. 

The U is now asking for help identifying the perpetrator. He was last seen wearing dark shorts, dark shoes and a gray t-shirt. Any community members with information on this incident have been asked to contact University Police at (801)-585-2677. 

Please make sure that your windows and doors are secure,” campus police advised.
