Berkeley man arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale

Berkeley Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop Tuesday which lead to an arrest on possession of narcotics for sale, according to a BPD Nixle alert.

At 4:06 a.m., BPD officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Adeline Street and Alcatraz Avenue. The alert added that officers learned that the suspect and driver of the vehicle had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest, in addition to having his license suspended.

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered 900 grams of marijuana, over 27 grams of cocaine, 68 pills of T259, or hydrocodone/acetaminophen, a digital scale and over $4,900 cash, according to the alert.

The suspect was identified as a 24-year-old Berkeley man and was then arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale and other narcotics offenses.
