Editor’s note: Reflecting on 2018
Looking back on the past year, it’s hard to reconcile the passage of time with the sheer volume of things that occurred in the last 12 months. Whether that was the constant barrage of current events bubbling up on your newsfeed or the ever-changing pop culture landscape, there’s a persistent feeling of: “Oh, that was THIS year?”
January 2018 may feel like it was light years in the past, and with this issue, we hope to offer some reflections on what the last year has been like. Whether that be looking at this year’s local elections or some of the best queer pop culture moments of 2018, we hope to encompass and encapsulate what this year meant.
A lot happened this year, and it’s been a lot to process. But as the year comes to a close, we wish you the best of luck with your finals, and cheers to 2019.
