DACA Rally in Boston Common (9/17)

On September 17, 2017, hundreds descended upon Boston Common in order to rally in defense of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and against the increase in deportations under the Trump Administration.

Protesters gathered on the steps directly across from the Massachusetts State House.

A local activist shared his story.

One of the rally organizers revved up the crowd with his message, delivered in Spanish along with a live English translation.

Andre Francois, a Haitian immigrant and President of the Boston School Bus Union, spoke in solidarity at the rally.

Boston City Councilman Tito Jackson spoke forcefully, directly to President Trump.

Members of W.I.T.C.H. Boston, a group which seeks “to enhance political consciousness through public rituals, protests, and raising awareness of concerns,” stood out with their unique apparel.
