The Cougars hosted a three-game series against the Alabama Crimson Tide this past weekend and continued their strong play from their sweep of Minnesota. The Cougars took wins on both Friday and Saturday as solid pitching and timely hitting put them on top of the Tide after back and forth games. Sunday gave the Cougars their first loss as the Tide came out swinging and Houston was overpowered in an 8-3 defeat.
