You may not know him by name, but I guarantee you know his work. Hip Hop artist, Rico Love made sure Charlotte knew both Tuesday night, June 10 at Amos’ Southend.
With records like Usher “Hey Daddy,” Kelly Rowland “Go Lover,” and Trey Songz “Heart Attack,” its fair to say, Love is no rookie to the game.
After about a thirty-minute wait, Love hit the stage dressed in a white leather jacket, matching jersey knit shirt, white wash denim and red accents.
Although my inner shoe lover couldn’t resist straining my neck to see his sneakers, his chain seemed to be the topic of conversation amongst the crowd. The gold chain and huge diamond encrusted pendant sparkled oh, so bright in the limelight, but Love’s best accessory, his smile outshined the pendant by far.
Performing along side rapper, Future, Love seemed more thrilled to be on stage than the audience that’d been waiting. His modesty continued as he introduced his live DJs.
Just as his name implies, Love’s arsenal of records proves he’s had his fair share of experiences with the ladies. His hit single “They Don’t Know” has spent quite some time on Charlotte’s Power 98. The remix features Trey Songz, Ludacris, T.I. and Love’s newest artist, Tiara Thomas.
As though he didn’t have enough tricks up his sleeve, Love also raps!
While performing “To My Ex” he spits something for those who’ve lost their chance at Love.
Love’s comfortable stage presence, talents and smile has me wondering, when can we expect and album?
