– More news has broken about the alleged sexual assault case involving three Oregon basketball players. A former Eugene City Councilor has filed a Title IX complaint. Kevin Hornbuckle believes, in a letter he sent to the U.S. Department of Education, that the actions committed by the athletes were consensual and that the university was incorrect in kicking them off the team. He believes the athletic department and school created a culture of fear and hysteria that lead to unfair persecution. Read the complete complaint here.

– The search for a new Oregon State men’s basketball coach continues after leading candidate Ben Howland reportedly withdrew from consideration, according to ESPN. Some of the names he brings up are former Trail Blazer guards Damon Stoudamire and Terry Porter, Arizona State assistant Eric Musselman and Indiana University assistant Steve McClain.

– Oregon men’s tennis head coach Nils Schyllander was named the Wilson/ITA Regional Coach of the Year Tuesday. The team also reached the Pac-12 Championships semi-finals for the first time ever after beating Stanford for only the second time in program history.

– Oregon baseball outscored Pacific Tuesday night to win 14-8. Catcher Shaun Chase who had a grand slam, a solo home run and five RBIs led the team. Chase is now tied for sixth on Oregon’s all-time single-season home run list.

– Oregon volleyball senior Lauren Plum has been selected to the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team’s 12-player roster. Plum, who is the career assist record holder here at Oregon, will compete with team USA May 15-18.
