ASUO presidential candidates Beatriz Gutierrez, Taylor Allison and Thomas Tullis met in the Erb Memorial Union Fishbowl to participate in the Emerald-sponsored ASUO Presidential Debate on Monday afternoon. All three candidates were given several questions by Emerald ASUO reporter Craig Garcia about their positions heading into the election period. The debate then went into a question and answer period during which attendees of the debate were able to ask questions directly to the presidential candidates about specific topics. Primary voting for the ASUO elections began Monday, April 14th and will continue to be open on DuckWeb until Friday, April 18, 2014.
