Campus Connector involved in accident

A University of Minnesota Campus Connector was involved in an accident Friday morning at the intersection of the Transitway and Como Avenue near the St. Paul campus. A man driving on Como Avenue ran a red light and hit the Connector, causing it to hit the stoplight and a fence, according to University police Deputy Chuck Miner. The man said his vision was blocked by the sun when he hit the bus, Miner said. There were approximately seven passengers on the connector. No injuries were reported, he said.
