The International Student Association will hold their annual Winter Formal this Saturday at 7 p.m. in Gerlinger 220. This year’s theme is a “Black and White Affair.”
Steven Rao, Programs Intern for ISA said he wanted to provide a different, more elite, experience for international students, “like prom or a wedding.”
“During the winter people don’t get to dress up. (The Winter Formal) is an opportunity for them to dress formally and have fun after midterms,” Sandra Benny, Programs Intern, said.
A dance instructor will teach students new moves while a DJ spins tracks and waiters serve drinks and finger food.
“Between 200-300 people attended last year, we hope for a bigger turnout this year,” Rao said.
Rao said the main goal of the event is for more American students to attend so “domestic students and international students can blend together.”
The event is free and open to all students.
