A University of Minnesota student was the victim of a sexual assault early Sunday morning, according to an email alert sent Sunday by University Police chief Greg Hestness.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of 15th Avenue Southeast and Eighth Street Southeast, according to the alert.
